Leadership

Wayne was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida.  After graduating from Godby High School, Wayne went on to play two years of college baseball before returning home after suffering an injury which left him unable to continue playing.  Upon returning home from college, Wayne met his wife Trina who was the daughter and granddaughter of Baptist pastors.  While dating Trina, Wayne attended church with her on Easter Sunday where he was incredibly and miraculously saved that morning.  Wayne immediately felt the call to teach and tell other people about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Wayne eventually accepted the call to preach and was ordained in 2011.  Wayne and Trina have served in children, youth, and college ministries.  Wayne’s biblical studies are currently ongoing at The Bible Doctrine Institute in Jacksonville, Florida where he is working toward a Master's degree in Theology.  Wayne has filled the pulpit in churches all over our area.  He also spent 13 years in law enforcement before accepting the role as Lead Pastor at FBCWS. Wayne and Trina have been married for 20 years and have two daughters, Annesley and Averey.  Wayne is an avid sports fan who loves the Seminoles and loves spending time outdoors with his family.

We are overjoyed to welcome Pastor Casey Miller as our new Youth Pastor!  Casey comes to us from right here in Crawfordville, bringing with him not only a passion for ministry and a heart for young people, but also a deep love for the outdoors - especially hunting and fishing!  Joining him in this exciting new chapter are his wonderful wife, Lauren, and their four amazing children: Emma, Ellie, Evelyn, and Silas.  We are so thrilled to have this beautiful family become a part of our church family.  Casey’s love for the Lord, commitment to guiding the next generation, and warm, approachable spirit make him a blessing to our community.  We can’t wait to see how God will work through him to impact the lives of our youth and beyond.
